FLGGD EXPOSURE SHIELD
How Flggd handles your data
What you give Flggd
- An email address, a phone number, or both. One is enough.
- Optionally, a public username you use.
- Optionally, to check people-search sites: your first and last name, city and state.
Flggd never asks for a password, a security code, a login, your date of birth or an ID number.
What Flggd keeps
- What you entered and what Flggd found, saved with your private link so you can come back to it.
- Your choices, such as Yes, No or Not sure on a listing, and "I sent it" on a removal.
- Feedback and help requests you send.
- Which screens and steps you open, and when. Never what you type into other websites.
Anyone with your private link can see your results, so keep it private.
Who Flggd checks with, and what they receive
- XposedOrNot (breach records): your email address.
- Gravatar (public profile): a coded form (hash) of your email address, as Gravatar requires.
- GitHub, GitLab, Keybase and npm: a public username, either the one you gave or one shown on your public profile.
- People-search sites Flggd checks directly: your first and last name, city and state.
- Brave Search (a public search index, only if you ask Flggd to check people-search sites): your first and last name, city and state. Brave's published notice says it keeps search query logs for 90 days.
- US federal scam-call reports (FTC and FCC): nothing. Flggd downloads the public report data and compares your number on its own server.
Removal steps open the site's own page. What you enter there goes to that site, not to Flggd.
Deleting your data
You can delete everything Flggd keeps about you from your private link at any time. Your link then stops working.
Flggd cannot delete what an outside service already received for a check. Backup copies are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically. If Flggd ever restores a backup, your deletion is applied again before the service is used.
Questions
Use Get help on your private link. Flggd answers there.
